YouTuber of the Week (22 July 2015)

Have you ever had an idea in your head and thought “Wow – that would make a f***ing awesome book!” Most of us have had that thought at least once in our lives. However, very few of us ever actually act on it and for those who do act, it’s something to be celebrated. Writing a book is hard. Getting a book published is even harder.

My YouTuber of the week this week is the fabulous Jenna Moreci! I found her videos a little over a week ago and basically had a marathon of every single one. Moreci is the author of the novel Eve: The Awakening (which you can pre-order here on Amazon). As a published author, it only makes sense for this wonderful writer to make YouTube videos giving advice and tips to people who may want to start a novel, but have no idea how.

On her YouTube channel, Moreci discusses every aspect of writing, from how to name your characters to how to write convincing dialogue. And although she claims to feel like a total weirdo in front of the camera, she comes off as a complete natural! She’s also freaking hysterical. I’m not even exaggerating. She’s literally the Jenna Marbles of the literary side of YouTube.

Thanks to this lovely writer-turned-vlogger, I have finally decided to start my own novel. I’ve tried many times before and failed. The difference this time is that I am now armed with an outline and magic markers galore and I am ready to turn out my first book!

If you’re in the same boat as I was, and you’re ready to get that novel going, but you’re not really sure how or where to begin, make sure to check out Jenna Moreci’s YouTube and social media outlets! She puts out new videos every Wednesday and answers questions via Twitter pretty much every other day of the week! Happy writing!

Have a wonderful evening ~

P.S. While you’re at it, also make sure to drop by Jenna’s website and read the first three chapters of Eve: The Awakening!
